Akame Ga Kill, Season Finale Review! Best Anime Of 2014?

Akame Ga kill,

So Whats the Anime About?

In a dark world, filled with ancient relics, know as the 'imperial Arms.' a naive young boy named Tatsumi, sets out for the Capitol to earn money for his starving village, and finds a world of unimaginable corruption, all rooting from a greedy Prime Minister who controls the child Emperor's ear. After nearly becoming a victim of this corruption himself, Tatsumi is recruited by Night Raid, a group of assassins dedicated to eliminating the corruption plaguing the Capitol by mercilessly killing those responsible.

Season Finale:

The episode picked up from were the previous finished off, with Akame witnessing the heroics of Tatsumi. After watching the first few episodes of the anime, no death could surprise me, as Takahiro ruthlessly killed of fan favoured characters. I guess the fans didn't have time to complain as the series was only 24 episodes long, Haha... Anyway back to review, Akame had no time to mourn, as Esdeath was right on her heels. As she fell in love with Tatsumi, her heart was broken at the death of her loved one. Esdeath was ready to take her anger out on someone, Akame being one of the only survivors of Night Raid and face to face with Esdeath, it was the perfect timing for their showdown.

Having witnessed the endless power of Esdeath, you may have thought this would be an easy win for her, going by main characters being killed one by one. You wouldn't have put it past Takahiro to give Akame an instant death. Underestimating her would have been the wrong thing to do, her unrivalled skill with the blade Murasame, she was keeping up with the OP 'over powered' imperial arm of Esdeath combined with her raw talent. Esdeath slightly had the upper hand at this point, no matter what attack Akame tried she was repelled by the awesome power of Esdeath. Throughout the fight they would argue who's idealism views were right, both knowing fare well, that there grudge was far beyond settling with discussion now.

Akame on the back foot then pulled out her trump card, Murasame, the curse blade. Cut herself with it, fusing with the blade to gain 'demon like powers.' With her powers increased, she was fighting on equal footing with Esdeath. The first time watchers would witness such a feet, Esdeath struggled to keep up with Akame's speed and pulled out her trump card she used to defeat Susanoo, which was to freeze time. The second time you may think this is game over for Akame, but she anticipated this move and had a exceptional counter for it, which was an after image which left Esdeath shocked. Finally, Akame was able to deliver the killer blow.
Esdeath, realising her death was shortly upon her, wanted to die with Tatsumi in her arms. She grabbed him and disintegrated into the atmosphere with him. With the corrupt empire being defeated. Najenda, previous boss of the night raiders took control of things. With her life being shortened in the fight with Susanoo vs Esdeath. She vowed to do all she could before she died. Leone who fell victim to the hidden imperial arms, which took the power of your own imperial arm. Left Leone without her healing abilities and took to many bullets to her solar plexus. She still managed to kill Honest before saying goodbye to Akame she passed to her death in a hidden alleyway. Wave and Rin the two survivors of the Jaegers went there separate ways, realising throughout the anime that they may have been fighting on the wrong side. Akame left the capitol, not knowing what her aim is now, but never the less. Akame will go to help poverty across the world with her trusted blade, Murasame.

As a whole, i think Takahiro did a outstanding job with the writing of the original story, the production team put together an exhilarating anime with exciting fights and unexpected deaths throughout the anime. High recommendation for all anime fans.

Dragonball Z, Onepiece and Toriko Crossover! Review!!

Collaboration:

We first witnessed the collaboration of Onepiece and Dragonball, in a manga Cross Epoch in a 2006 special. We have also seen, cross over with Toriko and Onepiece collaboration in 2011, and 2012. Which didn't exceed majority of peoples expectation.

It was great to see 3 of my favourite anime shows of all time come together like this, for a collaboration. It did come as a surprise to have Dragonball Z universe characters thrown into the mix. Never the less, it is something I would recommend and hope all anime fans get a chance to see this!

Plot:
The IGO (International Gourmet Organisation) are hosting the worlds best eating tournament. (Tenkaichi Shokuokai) It's an extravagant race on a island with beasts. Each of the shows contain rare beasts in there respective anime's, it turned out to work well in the collaboration. The main participants are the Straw hat Pirates, The Four Heavenly Kings and The Z fighters. Toriko and Luffy take the lead throughout the race. As Toriko and Luffy were competing with each other, they looked into the horizon and saw a figure ahead of even them. It was none other then Goku, which came as no surprise to us watchers. The writers wanted to distinguish the difference in strength, for each protagonist. Cross over battles often cause argument's between anime fans. 'Who would win in a fight between  Naruto vs Ichigo?' Etc. Few would argue of Goku being held at the helm. We do see other interactions along the way such as Gohan and lady Setsuno. The interaction between each of the respective shows bad asses, being Vegeta, Zoro and Zebra get caught into a 3 way duel. We don't get to see much, this came more to the annoyance of fans, as the clip only lasts a minute. Hopefully it's something we can look forward to in a another collaboration of the 3 shows.

The Fight:
Goku, Luffy and Toriko end up finishing the race at the same time and are locked into a 3 way battle! It was intriguing to see how the three would match up, the 3 way fight between them was interesting with Luffy and Toriko matching up, and Goku being a slightly stronger then both of them. With the choatic fighting from all 3, it lead the arena to be destroyed. Mr Satan, strangely became the winner which was surprising as he started off as the competitions spokes man.

Akami:
After the competition, the majority of characters celebrate with the IGO, with a banquet containing Carat Sizzled Cattle. Mason tells the team of a sea creature called Akami, a monster with unique abilities! It takes the efforts of Toriko, Luffy and Goku combining there strengths to take down the sea monster.

Is Toriko Underrated? Legend Of The Heavenly Kings!

Toriko

The legend of the 4 heavenly kings, since the anime series which hit the world in 2011. Many have questioned whether Toriko deserved the clout the anime was getting. A lot of anime fans had the problem of not understanding the underlining story line of the anime, 'A Shonen anime about cooking.' To be honest, I was sceptical about this anime after watching it the first time. If you keep faith you will tend to understand there is more to the anime then just cooking!

Toriko's main objective is to collect ingredients all over the world, for his full course menu. Which isn't as simple as it sounds, the world is filled with Gourmet hunters, along with the rest of the heavenly kings and vast others around the world. Toriko was born with Gourmet cells. Certain foods have an effect on these gourmet cells and give Toriko inhuman fighting abilities. The fighting abilities of the hunters are more then needed as they have to fight deadly animals who also contain advanced fighting abilities, to obtain the ingredients for his full course menu. Toriko meets a chef called Komatsu who happens to have the potential to be, one of, if not the best chef in the world.

The planet of Toriko is split into two parts, 'Of what we know.' The human world, and the Gourmet world. The human world is where the humans stay, hence the name. There are dangerous world beasts that inhabit the human world but nothing on the scale of what inhabits the gourmet world. It's not just the enormous, ferocious beasts you have to worry about in the Gourmet world, there are also climate changes you would have to adapt to, which is impossible without the right guidance and training. The beasts capture levels are giving numerical rates depending on how dangerous there are. While being monitored by the IGO! The IGO, maintains order and balance in the human world and have also got a foot hold in the Gourmet world which is harder to control. Evil organisations have the aim to capture and keep the most precious ingredients of the world, one organisation called the Bishokukai.

Through watching the anime I tend to understand why the manga fans would dislike the anime. There is a lot more gore, cutting of limbs in the manga. Taking into consideration that other anime such as, One Piece, hunter x hunter also restrict graphical scenes of limbs being cut off, due to the time the anime's are aired. This may be a annoying factor but understandable at the same time.

The anime made an abrupt ending in 2014, averting from the original storyline of the manga. Fans of the manga had a right to complain, with the anime being detrimental to the manga, and not portraying the essence of the story we admired.

Spoilers and Key information have been held back from this review, as a admirer of the manga, I would love nothing more, for other manga fans to enjoy and share the same fantastic experience for themselves, and share there thoughts here with others.

Avatar: Legend of Korra Finale, Book 5? New Avatar?

The legend Of Korra Season Finale!

The Legacy of Avatar Korra drew to it's end in 2014, the climax most expected from a catalogue of exhilarating episodes that kept all watchers entertained. There are many topics I would like to discuss, but let's get started on the episode!

As we know, the previous episode finished on a cliff hanger leaving us in suspense, to whether or not team Avater were able to escape the spirit ray, shot from the gigantic mechanical machine Kuvira had created. Batar Jr seemed to be the only one who came out with a bit more then a scratch. Witnessing the ruthlessness of Kuvira's character first hand, Batar seeked comfort from his mother regretting the acts he had taken under the command of Kuvira. Team Avatar quickly went on the offensive, while Meelo surprisingly came of with a great plan to Blind the Kuvira's view, while in the machine with paint bombs. Korra would then lead a team of her, Mako, Bolin, Lin and Sue Beifong!

Varrick, Asami and Hiroshi attacked via the humming birds built in the previous episode! We witness a noble act from Hiroshi Sato, maybe making up for his revolutionary behaviour whHiroshi Came up with an idea to cut into Kuvira's Machine, using a laser type weapon.

ich had him imprisoned in book one.

The Earth King was actually surprising helpful with helping the citizens evacuate the city via the earth bending badger moles. His delightful singing had the badger moles under his wing.

Varrick finally told 'Julie' how he felt about her and popped the question. To no surprise Julie quickly said yes as her feelings towards Varrick was out in the open.

The group split into two's, the beifong sisters climbed up to the arm and managed to disarm the machine's arm. Securing themselves with metal bending as the arm tumbled to the ground.

Mako and Bolin went to stop the spirit vine to disable the cannon, Bolin explained to Mako an energy blast to the vine will cause it to explode. Mako then told Bolin to escape as he wanted to destroy the vine by himself! Bolin assuming Mako was just trying to be 'cool' told him it was to dangerous. Mako ignored this and use lighting to destroy the vine. Causing explosions that could have killed him, he was luckily saved by Bolin who ignored Mako's request telling him to escape.

Korra went to engage Kuvira and settle things once and for all. Kuvira with her tenacity and raw talent combined with her skills with metal bending proved to be a match for Korra.

Odds ended even with their close quarter fight within the machine but Korra seemed to get the better of Kuvira on the field! Korra ended up having to save Kuvira's life, as Kuvira tried to use the spirit cannon as a last depth attack towards Korra. After the plan back fired and Korra having to go into the avatar state to save Kuvira and herself from the cannon, they were blasted into the spirit world!

Korra got her chance to speak with Kuvira and started to reason with and understand her more, the conversation turned emotional with Kuvira revealing her upbringing was partly to blame for her domination of the earth Kingdom and the attack on the united republic. Korra admitted that her and Kuvira are similar in more ways then one, and evidently came to an understanding.

The conclusion:
With Kuvira surrendering, the war came to it's end. The wedding celebrations of Varrick and Julie was a time to rejoice for team avatar, The epic series ended with Korra and Asami taking a vacation in the spirit world!

Korra stamped her place in the history books, having to be named one of the best avatars ever. Her predecessor Ang defeated the fire nation and established the united Republic, but that was maybe topped by Korra in her first few years defeating the likes of Amon, Unalaq, Zahir and Kuvira in her early years of becoming the avatar, also combining the spirit and the human world, creating the portal in the centre of republic city.

It's sad that this has come to an end, either a book five for Korra or the tale of a new Avatar is definitely something on the cards the fans are hoping for...
